It depends. There are certain things, many in fact, that will require you to set aside your differences for the good of the child, provided you want to be good parents. Keeping him out of the delivery room, not inviting him to Dr appointments, etc are NOT those things. I am 50\50 on the name so no strong feelings either way.
Being a caretaker is a huge responsibility and can absolutely limit your own life. Even if it is “selfish” that’s not necessarily a bad thing.
