Sorry to necro the thread, but to answer the question, maybe it's fine the level cap is 36, if a little arbitrary. But raising the skill cap to 150 and raising the game's hardest checks along with it was a weird choice. I think you can get one, maybe two skills to 150. So the extra content amounts to a massive nerf.

for SP you should be able to adjust the Difficulty (last line above) from within Ark Options.
