787 posts · Joined 2011. #5 · Jul 4, 2013. I experienced the same problem. It turned-out to be a faulty "Water in Fuel" sensor, that was leaking fuel, and allowing air into the line. Present: 2015 K2500HD LTZ Crew Cab Z-71. My Chevy Truck History: 2011 K2500HD LTZ Crew Cab LML.
Drive it 20 miles, shut it off, come back out 20 or 30 min later and won't start. Have to go through a half dozen cycles of pumping the primer and trying it. Finally starts. I did change the fuel filter thinking it was that. No change afterwards. Finally get it home. Possible someone shimmed the valve and lost parts-- COMMON. Pull the "U" hose from the fuel rail-- plug the hose. Connect a hose to the nipple on the fuel rail. Crank the engine--- any fuel coming out of the fuel rail nipple -- the FPRV is leaking fuel-- IT WILL NEVER START.LML runs a few seconds then dies. Preparing for the full delete and tunes, I installed a Fass 150 last week. Truck started and ran fine since. Yesterday I installed the S&B and a fuel filter delete. The cam sensor is only used as a reference for the ECM so it knows which cylinder is at TDC. I would take a look at the crank sensor as well. Remove the sensor and see if the reluctor wheel can be wiggled with a screw driver. 06 audi S4, V8/6spd.

It is the fuel that lubricates the fuel pump and also cools the pump, and when you have neither, what you get is a fule pump that doesn't work as it should. Just let the glow plug cycle twice and hit the starter.
