If TXV Charge to sub cooling-- I am thinking your sub cooling was high and you have a restriction or TXV issue. Good point, the stuck TXV would be known by high subcool and high superheat. This would be a tough diagnosis for a beginner tech. Gotta know what your subcool and superheat is.
