2002 kawasaki vulcan 800 classic. ok, I've read alot of threads on this but nothing helps. My bike runs very well after warming up. The bike pops thru the carb and yes it's thru the carb. When I got the bike it leaked gas into the crankcase (all of it the gas). After rebuild it runs like a badass but still pops at low rpms.If the engine has problems between 1/4 and 3/4 throttle, the jet needle and needle jet (most likely the jet needle) is likely the problem. If the engine is running poorly at 3/4 to full throttle, the main jet is the likely problem. There's no easy way to directly test the fan switch. You would have to remove it from the radiator, put it in some water, heat the water up, and measure with a volt-ohm meter or circuit tester to see if the switch closes when the temperature of the water gets to the right point.Check the oil as per Kawasaki and top off if necessary to get a reading between the H and L marks. The next morning or when the engine is at ambient temp, with the bike on the sidestand and on level ground check the oil again, remember to screw the dip stick all the way in. Most bikes would be about 15V at 5000 rpm, but you need to find the specs for your bike. It could be that the meter is off, though.
