In the case of dropped windows, the balance shoe is usually pushed to the bottom of the frame. Locate the tilt pin at the bottom of the window sash. The tilt pin must fit inside the balance shoe for the window to function correctly. Examine the balance shoe. If it has a “U” shape within it, this means it’s in the locked position.

Its not a model specific issue it’s something that isn’t common but does happen. A dealer will replace the window mechanism if thats the case. Every time it rained the window would roll down, but not up. There was a small leak in one of the window gaskets, and it would make one of the plastic pulleys used for "up" slippery enough it couldn't turn the cable.
