You can add more polarities to your Warframe or weapon, or change existing polarities, using Forma. A note on Aura and Stance slots: All Warframes have Aura slots (the slot on the left in the row of two at the top). For example, your Frost Prime has a D polarity in the Aura slot. You can only put Aura mods in Aura slots.

Higher level weapons have more flexibility and freedom (not to mention stats) and thus don't need the polarities.
