The M14 is the very reason for the ridiculous "once a machine gun, always a machine gun" nonsense. However, taking the heel and cutting off the lug and welding it to a current made semi-auto receiver is NOT illegal, nor is it considered a machine gun. This is how JRA was able to do it.

But it failed to eject the spent case and pull a new loaded shell from the magazine. I bought my JRA at Classic Firearms and when I called the for an RMA they put me in touch with Bula Defense.

The BM59 designers apparently figured a way to move the clip to a thicker location. I made a post on here a while ago about my James River Armory M14 not being able to extract spent brass due to how rough the chamber was. Well after sending it in and them "fixing" it it still can't get through a full mag, and now theres spent brass permanently stuck in the chamber.
