Aug 6, 2017 · Initial problem mule would overheat. No radiator fan would run and air would accumulate in hard line near thermostat. Step one: checked hard lines for leaks. Found 2 pin holes in hard lines. Solution replaced hard lines and hoses. Step 2: checked radiator for air circulation and leaks.
2004 Mule 3010 Diesel overheating. I have an 04 Mule 3010 Diesel that has an overheating issue It appears the coolant is not circulating at all. I have bled the system according to the service manual instructions, no avail. Engine runs for a while fans do not run and the overheat light comes on.The thermostat is on the rear cylinder head on the right side of the engine. The thermostat housing has a large black hose coming out of it; I think the metal tube the follows the hose has the bleeder screw on it. By the was check the weep hole at the base of the water pump.
