May 5, 2014 · 2012 KIA Sorento alternator failure. I bought a 2012 KIA Sorento back in 2011 when they first came out. It's my very first BRAND new car ever. This past Saturday, she broke down. I started her up in the morning and the battery light came on. I didn't think much of it so I drove it.

Replaced the battery and the alternator but still get warning lights. Battery still draining while driving it so the alternator is not properly working, but it's brand new.
