My Lyft rides are often 25% more than I agreed to. I don't really use Lyft often but I've noticed that whenever an Uber takes ages to find a driver, Lyft comes through. Uber is the better app for consumers. They have cornered the market almost everywhere and Lyft is a Plan B for most people.
