May 22, 2020 · We just finished the emission certification testing on ecodiesel yesterday. We will have an engine/trans tune combo with OBD flash tool for install available in mid-June. 49-state legal at the moment. CA and CARB have more paperwork and they will be later in the summer.

I asked this in the ecodiesel forum also but I thought I would put it here also. The Jeep Grand Cherokee has the same engine, I believe. There are not nearly as many blown, damaged engines in the JGC. We hear stories of dealers saying stay away from the ram ecodiesel, we have a dozen in the back waiting for engines, etc. Not so with the JGC.I just think the newer generation of engine will have a better overall design. I would strongly consider solid extended warranty. That said, there is number of people that have been extremely happy with with the trucks. The map sensor is under the motor cover in the back center of the motor. You need to remove the foam insulator, and it's easier to get to if you remove the fresh air intake tube. T40 torx bolt and disconnect the wire from it. 10 min job. The EcoDiesel is perfect as a daily driver and for light to moderate towing needs. The Cummins is perfect for heavier towing needs, but not as a daily driver. However the factory 5.7 inlet tube takes the fender opening and makes it smaller where it goes into the airbox. The Ecodiesel inlet tube stays the same size as the fender opening right into the airbox. LOL well the Vararam is definitely a better flowing intake than this.

It was repaired, and now my truck wont go right. When I idle, max rpm I get when i press the throttle to the bottom is about 2800 rpm. It also has little power when I drive.
