There are many problems you can face with the CUE setup so it's best to get this "recorded" in their system in case you need warranty replacement (I assume you're still under warranty).

You may have an issue now if it is obvious you tried to fix it yourself but it is worth a try with the dealer but that torn ribbon cable is probably going to be an issue. The replacement could have been defective or you may have either had a connector not seated properly or the cable was damaged during your repair.
