It's the usual type where you lift the handle to turn on the water then turn left/right to mix the water. There's a hole to access the grub screw underneath the handle. This grub screw pushes against the square plastic top of the cartridge.Its probably just heavily corroded. You may need to pry it off being careful not to crack your tiles. You might need to put a 2 x 4 or similar against the tile and then gingerly using a pry bar try to remove it. But it still must be attached somehow.
