Set the Nest up with the PPPoE login info (probably will need a @centurylink.net at the end of the username) and VLAN 201 on the WAN side. You should be online now. If they tell you they don't use PPPoE on your network, set the WAN up as normal DHCP connection but embedded in VLAN 201. No need for transparent mode or anything like that.
