Moonveil remains one of the better weapons in the game too. It's basically better than using actual spells 4 times out of 5. People saying it's been "nerfed to hell" are exaggerating. I'm pretty sure the only thing that changed with Moonveil is that it's poise damage was slightly decreased in PvP only . Should be exactly the same in PvE. Also, a ton of weapons had poise damage nerfed in PvP, not just katanas. So, effectively, most weapons weren't really nerfed. It's more like poise got a buff, as well as a few weapon classes ...
