Try changing the FOB battery first (as others indicated) - it's a CR2032 button cell battery, which is available almost everywhere, and it's easy to change. If that doesn't resolve it then maybe you have a defective FOB.In snow, the button never works at all and I had to use the remote to open the tail gate. Everything is OK right now. We replaced the switch button at the Acura dealer. $50 CAD is the price of the piece.
