The ground splice packs are two identical small black boxes in the engine compartment, each containing a bunch of ground wires. They are attached to the inner fenders, one on the left, outboard of the EBCM and one on the right, behind the air filter case.Super weird that cleaning a bunch of grounds caused those indications. I am going to call it good for now. Maybe the bent splicepack and dirty engine block ground were the cause of the no start issues. Actually, if you get the chime sound when you press the driver's side LOCK button, AND you get the chime when you press the passenger-side LOCK button, that tells you the ground connection for the door locks at the two Splice-Packs is good. The driver's side switch completes a path to ground through Splice-Pack 105 on the driver's side.

The ground goes through this connector (large black wire). There should be two large black wires next to each other in that connector. Pull it apart and perform the same inspection. I'm looking for the ground splice packs locations for Chevy Malibu 2003 in order to troubleshoot Service Vehicle soon light which is light up in rainy road driving conditions.When it happen fuel gauge is not working and headlamp DRL light is off.I'm presuming poor connection to the groung/connector water penetration.There are 6 in the Engine compartment labelled with a "G" in the list. There are 7 total, as far as I can tell. One more near the battery, 2 in the "passenger area", and 2 more behind the rear axle.
