Their homes look pretty nice and they are a lot cheaper than the standard prices in Austin, but they have so many bad reviews and I can't seem to find any major positive press about them. Review of Overall Experience. This is our second purchase from Meritage, it seems that Meritage is too interested in maximizing their cost. For example, for our recent purchase, the garage is unfinished, and plumbing was made of plastic. This is unlike our home from 2014 with finished garage and metal plumbing fixtures.
