My guess for absolute most powerful Thaumaturge build is Mirror + Tome + Marshal. You can take a stance feat, double the stance aura with Mirror, and you can get AoO at level 8 so you still have a great reaction (albeit late).Thaumaturge's action economy is pretty tight with Exploit Vulnerability and Intensify Vulnerability and the implement's own actions, so Beastmaster/Cavalier are good for the free Stride you get at 4+ from Mature.
