Professor Gallup is a fantastic instructor. I loved this class. He is a caring professor who students can turn to for guidance in their academics, as well as in their careers. He is easily one of the top professors I have had at PSU. I highly recommend taking this class. Ask lots of questions, because he is extremely knowledgeable and passionate.
Bin is a great professor, but his accent can make him hard to understand at times. His usual grading is 50% midterm, 50% final, and his feedback is not very useful. However, the two tests are take-home, and the problems are very similar to examples he gives in lectures. If you read through the lectures, you should pass easily.Online Class: Yes. Professor Westfall has a good class experience. The main focus of the course is the group project. Quizzes and final exam are easy and if you do bad, wont really affect your grade. There is a mandatory project that is worth 80% of your grade. If you have the right group, you'll ace the class.Nice, helpful to a point. Hard work but worth the effort. She has research experience in North Africa and as a speaker in the Middle East. She mostly teaches grad students and seems to hold undergrads to the same standard when she grades (though she does lower word counts for undergrads).
