better have gangways on all trains but knowing how things roll, there's gonna be R262As. I Hope R262 subway cars will be in Kawasaki in 2030. The R262 contract was cancelled when it was decided that CBTC would not be expanded in the IRT, so we can get another 10-20 years out of the 62s. Comparatively, Manhattan <-> SI is only a little over 5.2 miles.

There are no operator related questions on the open competitive Train Operator exam. Nowadays the trains get pretty full by 86th and people are sometimes struggling to get on the train at 72 and 63. I use Apple Card because it gives 2% cash back on every Apple Pay purchase, which includes Omny. It’s probably not the best but a pretty decent jack-of-all-trade card in my opinion. For the penny-pinchers like me, the Cash App debit card often gives $1 back if you spend at least $1 with the MTA.

R46 was fine on A, but now it gets old on N/Q. The A has the oldest and the newest cars. When they linked them up and renumbered them in 1993 they mixed them up. The R46's were 500-1278 with the A-A units being 1228-1278 (These are the only cars that were never mixed up since they were A-A units).
