Unless you fireplace is really small you’ll either need a pull down mount or it will probably be too high. Depending on the size of the TV it would probably need to be 2-3 feet from floor to the bottom of the TV and I doubt the mantle is going to be that low. Use the lower seat when using the fireplace. Use the upper seat when using the TV you've mounted over the fireplace. Amazing! You can actually buy something like this too! Yeah I’d never sit under that!
