My 2016 F-150 started showing signs of similar issues with the sun roof, so I just traded it fora 19' F-250 without a sunroof. The trick as others have mentioned is to tilt the sunroof up before opening it.Unplug the connectors and place some dielectric grease on them and plug them back together.
