Aug 17, 2002. #1. Wondering if anyone else has experienced a problem with the fuel gauge jumping from full to empty when starting your Avalanche. Just had the local dealership replace the fuel tank "level sensor". They claim this is the second time they've seen this problem but I have not seen any mention of this problem on any of these forums.
Have had my new 07 Avalanche for about 2 weeks and have approx. 800 miles on it. On a road trip last weekend for approx. 400 miles I set the trip indicated and when we returned home my average mileage was 16.2 which included city driving.
