I tend to use it to make up the ship parts I need. Grinding for them has become wildly impractical, so I make it up with lat. Keep in mind, the more of them you buy in a single batch the lowest they cost (the best it gets in my experience is two 3* parts for one lat, which requires buying 1300+ or so).
