That said, an AR180 is on the banned list but an AR180B is legal.... same would apply to anything different than M14 (including “M14F”). Quote.
JRA is a great choice and the 19.25" is nice vs. the SAI Scout length as you can remove the gas system without taking off the flashhider! A SAI that is built as a Wolfe match hybrid and an LRB. both were built by Jon Wolfe of m14parts.com. The cast receivers are rated for 350,000 rounds. It is one heck of a workhorse while still being a piece that any collector would cherish. LRB and Bula are generally considered the best builders of forged receivers. A good M14 is as reliable as an M1. I would say a Springfield M1A falls in that category. I am with the others here: take advantage of Springfield's warranty and don't change a bunch of parts out. My personal M14 is a JRA, with the receiver made by Bula.
