I could have used my auto driveshaft, but the 5 speed shaft was thicker and had larger u-joints. AFAIK the 7.3's all use the same filter head, with the same fuel heater in it. The 6.9's had a fuel heater on the line between the lift pump and filter head.

Reaction score. 804. Location. PNW. Imho, idi is better for 'heavier' fuel. Injector fouling is less of a problem since there is one spray hole, and the pre-cup design stays hotter. On the DI side, i believe (from my experiences) an injector tip with fewer, larger holes performs better with wmo.

Has anyone done a full write up of the replacement procedure for the injectors? I want to do the ones in my 6.9 and the 7.3 I got last night. That's the best way I use to only rub the top an screw on but found out this way is a thousand times better.
