I was just wondering how many EcoDiesel owners are considering trading in for the new updated 2020 EcoDiesel? Supposedly has close to the same towing numbers the V8 now has and better MPG. The 2021 Ram 1500 EcoDiesel has a 3.0L EcoDiesel V6 engine. With 12,560 pounds of towing capacity and 480 lb-ft of torque, that’s not bad. It also gets 260 horsepower. The max payload is noted at 2,040 pounds. Stepped down from an '01 Cummins to a '17 Laramie CC 4x4 EcoDiesel because I don't need that big of a truck anymore. …Combination of city/hwy is right around 23-24 MPG. I have a 4WD Laramie with ORG and 3.92. The Duratracs on the Rebel may also contribute to slightly reduced mileage compared to trucks with All Season or the Falken AT3WAs on the ORG. I would expect a hit in MPG if driving at 75 MPH, but 18-20 MPG does seem low.

Well guys Im getting back into a 1500 after owning a 2500 Diesel for awhile. I’m looking at various trucks including a 2018 Laramie Hemi, 2007 SLT Hemi, but one really caught my eye and it’s a 2015 Outdoorsman EcoDiesel. Bone stock, 37,000km (23,000mi) for $28k. It’s probably the best deal I’ve come across with that low of kilometres.

I've got a kit from Dirty Diesel (FLO-301009) that includes the 2 block off/seal plates, coolant hoses and other hardware that works with full EGR removal if you choose. Supplied coolant hoses connect the in and out of the (removed) cooler together, a convenient bypass method. The current recall is only for Ram 1500's with the Ecodiesel. The Jeep GC Ecodiesels are not part of it. Same EGR cooler, same engine - does not make a lot of sense that they are not part of the recall. Any ideas on root cause of the coolant loss and/or ways to push back on the dealer/FCA are greatly appreciated.My understanding is that owning of an ecodiesel could get very expensive and frustrating. I would strongly consider solid extended warranty. That said, there is number of people that have been extremely happy with with the trucks.
