If you are going for straight damage output, the best weapon is a rapier with a shortsword or dog slicer in the off-hand. However, utility matters a lot in 2e, and you won't always get the chance or inclination to attack three times. Dueling spear or branched spear are good options, as others have said because of reach and gang up.
