The problem I ran into with it was with the sun at a low angle, the light sensor is shaded by the optic itself when facing certain directions - and thus it does a much dimmer dot. After about 4 minutes of inactivity, the illumination should turn off. It should then immediately turn back on when it senses movement. If you cannot see the illumination in true darkness after movement, there are two possibilities: (1) your brightness is not high enough, or (2) your optic is not functioning properly.

The major benefits over the Sentinel are twofold. First, because you need to remove the rear irons of the 365XL in order to mount an optic, you lose the ability to cowitness.
